Information we use
We use account details such as your name, email, account type and, for trade users, business details; order, delivery, payment-status and tracking information; messages you choose to send; and essential technical information needed to keep the site secure and working. Basket contents and account sign-in state are stored on your device. PayPal handles your payment credentials and sends us payment and transaction references, not your full card or PayPal login details.
Why we use it
We use account, order and delivery information to provide your account, take payment, fulfil and track orders, handle returns and answer enquiries. This is necessary to perform our contract with you or take steps at your request. We use records for accounting, fraud prevention, security and legal compliance where required by law or necessary for our legitimate interests. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising on this site.
Who receives it
We share only what is needed with service providers supporting the shop, including Firebase for account authentication, OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare for hosting and storage, PayPal for payment, and delivery or fulfilment providers for dispatch and tracking. We may also disclose information where legally required. Providers may process data outside the UK; where this happens, we rely on an applicable lawful transfer safeguard.
How long we keep it
We keep account information while the account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to handle queries. Order, payment and accounting records are normally retained for up to six years after the relevant financial year or longer where the law requires. Security records and messages are kept only as long as reasonably needed for their purpose.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to certain uses of your information. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. Contact us first if you would like us to help resolve a concern.
